The Passion and Glories!
Xceligent, Inc. Software
- Independence, MO- Marketing/ Design [07/00-Present]Perhaps, one of the most challenging work environments… ever. My responsibilities change on the fly. One minute I'm designing a trade show booth for maximum capacity and traffic flow then I am producing an interactive Flash sales presentation walk through of the application. Whatever is required, I follow without hesitation. Shooting pictures of properties to build an online property universe, I'm there. Even (gulp)… data entry! The most rewarding part of taking on such diverse tasks is the constant building of skill sets. Since day one I have been learning. Whether it’s updating and maintaining web pages or dealing with print shops or strategic alliances it’s all just a matter of doing it with an informed and determined mind.
Bazillion Pictures animation studio
- Kansas City, MO- Modeler/Animator [5/99-7/00]One of the most rewarding jobs in my life, working with Bazillion was a challenge and fun. As a modeler/ animator I was able to use my creative talents to build everything from a circuit board city to a water pipe bursting at the seams. Whether it was a light saber duel or a cutaway of an industrial mower chopping away at brush, I was the one to make it happen! But alas, student loans took their toll and I was no longer able to afford to work there.
Pinnacle Appraisal, L.L.C.
- Independence, MO- Residential Appraisal [11/98-5/99]The exciting world of real estate appraisal can be fun and profitable especially when you work eighteen hour days! Everyday was something new. Studying trends in the markets was very thought provoking. Meeting new clients’ everyday, of all the social strata, was very interesting. Learning to set appointments and be consistent and accurate in a timely manner was the most beneficial aspects by far.
The Art Institute of Phoenix
- Phoenix, AZ- LRC/ Studio Tech [8/97-9/98]As a student at AIPX I wanted to concentrate very hard on my education, so what better way than to work at school. I started as a clerk in the school store, selling, stocking and auditing supplies. Then I moved to the Learning Resources Center, processing incoming books and doing general librarian tasks. Finally I worked my way into the "video cage" where I was responsible for the maintenance and care of the on campus studio equipment. By working on campus I was able to spend long hours perfecting my training in computer animation and design.
